Sarah Ockbabywearing.jpgwell-Smith, author of the ‘The Gentle Parenting Book‘, will be running a series of Gentle Parenting workshops throughout the UK during 2016.

The 3 hour workshops will cover:

* What gentle parenting is. How and why it is different from other parenting styles.

* What science tells us about the benefits of gentle parenting.

* How to apply the principles, from the start or after a change in parenting styles.

* What gentle discipline looks like – and why gentle parenting is not permissive parenting.

* How to control your own emotions, especially anger, and manage trigger points.

* How the brain develops at each age, including age appropriate behaviour and expectations.

* How to communicate with children for the best response.

* How to cope with violence, whining, ‘sassy’ behaviour and refusal to do things.

* How to know if gentle parenting is working, and what to do if you feel it isn’t.

This workshop focusses on parenting children from birth through to age seven.
There will also be an opportunity to ask questions for specific situations.

How do I Buy Tickets?

Tickets can be booked  HERE.

There are no Locations Near Me on the List, do you have any Others Planned?

Not at the moment. Please contact me if you could recommend a suitable venue and get together at least ten people in your area who are interested in attending and I will see if it is possible to run a workshop near to you.

Are you Going to Run These Outside the UK?

I would love to, however there will need to be significant interest (over 40 attendees for Europe and over 60 for elsewhere) and a suitable venue. Please contact me if you feel that this would be possible in your country.

Who is the Workshop Suitable for?

Workshops are suitable for parents of children from birth through to age seven and professionals working with children in this age range.

Can Children Come?

Babes in arms are welcome and entrance for these is free of charge.

The workshop is however inappropriate for mobile babies/toddlers who are likely to get very bored sitting still in one room for three hours and may become distressed, affecting the experience of others attending.

How Much are Tickets? and are they Refundable?

Regular tickets are £25 each and admit one adult.

A limited number of family tickets are available for £40. These tickets admit two people and are intended for two parents from the same family only, ie. a mum and dad attending together. They are not applicable to friends.

Tickets must be paid for in full at the time of booking. They are non-refundable, though you are welcome to sell, or pass your ticket onto somebody else. Please use the contact form on this website to advise the change of name if this should happen.

Can you Ask Questions?

There will be time left at the end of the workshop for people to ask questions, including about their own experiences.
